When you paint from photos then you should be aware that you are not allowed to use photos from other people which you maybe find in the Internet or on places like facebook, pinterest, magazines etc.

All these photos taken by other people are copyright protected.

Of course you always can ask the owner of a photograph if you may use it for a painting. If you have a written permission then it is perfect.

It is always best to use only your own photographs. You can take them in your garden, in parks, in garden centers (when the owner allow this). But I understand that this is often not possible and this is one reason why I share some of my own photographs.

Feel free to use them for your own paintings. You don’t need to ask me, just print them out and paint them if you want. This reference photos are all taken by myself so I have the rights to say that you are allowed to use them, but only those who are on this specific page. All other photos and paintings on my website are copyright protected and it is not allowed to use them.
